The US Secretary of Labor was in Tucson, Arizona on Thursday, January 29, 2015. His visit included meeting with a group of community leaders to discuss the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and Health Workforce Issues in the Latino Community. Arizona outperformed enrollment in ACA in the nation due to the formation of community partnerships, a concerted outreach and marketing effort to inform the pubic and due to the use of promotoras. The secretary discussed DACA enrollment in Arizona and was interested in learning about correlations between enrollment of ACA and mixed status families.
