James W. Feild

Senior Vice President, CIENDA Partners.

Prior to joining CIENDA Partners, a private investment group, in November 2018, Mr. Feild served as the Senior Vice President of Community Development Banking at Bank of America. In this capacity he managed Bank of America Community Development Corp., a for-profit public purpose real estate development company that specialized in catalytic master development engagements in low-income neighborhoods and the development of affordable housing. Mr. Feild was also responsible for a portfolio of public welfare investments in commercial real estate and private equity of over $7 billion in assets.

During his career, Mr. Feild has played a leading role in community development initiatives, structuring and closing more than $4 billion of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit investments, over $2 billion in community development loan originations, the first proprietary Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Fund, the National Community Investment Fund, and the Raza Development Fund. He also developed and implemented Bank of America’s Community Development Financial Institution initiative, investing more than $100 million and qualifying for more than $5 million in Bank Enterprise Awards (BEAs). Mr. Feild earned a B.S. in business with a focus in real estate from the University of Texas at Arlington.

In addition to serving as RDF’s Governing Board Chair, Mr. Feild also serves as a member of the Governing Board of Community Development Trust.
