Mr. Ruiz retired from State Farm Insurance after 33 years where he served as a Consultant and Director of Multi-Cultural Markets. His career spanned various capacities including Fire Underwriting, Agency Recruitment, Human Resources, Administrative Services, Public Affairs, and Government Affairs and Community Alliances. Post his retirement, Mr. Ruiz co-founded and serves as principal of Strategic

Relationship Management (SRM), LLC., a consulting firm that specializes in public affairs, reputation management and the development of the Latino Market, leadership and talent procurement.

Mr. Ruiz is currently an Executive Advisor to the SMU Cox Business School Corporate Executive Development Program which focuses on the development of Latino executives. He also served as a loaned executive to Raul Yzaguirre at Arizona State University Center for Community Development and Civil Rights.

Mr. Ruiz serves on various board of directors to include the Cuban American National Council, Hispanic Women’s Corporation, and Valle Del Sol (a federally qualified health care provider). Mr. Ruiz graduated from California State University of Los Angeles with a degree in history and holds two professional insurance designations, CPCP and CLU.
