Faviola Chavez

Sr. Director of Affordable Housing

 

Faviola Chavez, joined Raza Development Fund as the Sr. Director of Affordable Housing in August of 2022. She works to maintain a trusted national network of affordable housing stakeholders and expand RDF’s impact in the affordable housing development industry.

Before joining RDF, Chavez excelled as a project manager for the City of Phoenix serving low-income communities by managing HUD HOME and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) construction developments. She has distinguished herself as a superior performer by the establishment of 396 housing units with a budget of over $106 million dollars. A native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Chavez also worked as a private lending program administrator for a New Mexico CDFI where she secured capital financing solutions for expanding job creation efforts through Bond Financing, New Market Tax Credits (NMTC), and Small Business Credit Initiative programs.

Outside of work, Chavez enjoys spending quality time with family and her dog Rascal. She is an experienced traveler who loves immersing herself in diverse places with different cultures and traditions. She is passionate about being a servant leader who strives to exemplify that service comes before self.
