Affordable Housing

RDF invests in both for-profit and nonprofit developers dedicated to building affordable multifamily and homeownership properties in communities across the U.S. From single family homes to apartments communities, the projects we finance allow individuals and families to secure safe, affordable housing—laying a strong foundation to thrive, build stability, and pursue greater opportunities for the future.

Education

RDF finances charter, private and parochial schools that make success attainable for underserved children. Our educational investments include everything from early childhood classrooms to college preparatory schools and vocational and technical learning centers, all designed to cultivate academic excellence and high expectations, empowering students to unleash their full potential and build brighter futures.

home ownership artwork

Home Ownership

Homeownership is a powerful tool for building intergenerational wealth. That's why RDF is collaborating with UnidosUS on its HOME initiative, which aims to create 4 million new Hispanic homeowners by 2030. We provide access to capital and down payment assistance programs to community organizations that work directly with Latino individuals and families, empowering them to achieve the dream of homeownership.

small business artwork

We invest in national and local CDFIs that provide essential lending services to small businesses. Through partnership with community-based organizations, we help increase access to capital and resources, empowering small business owners to grow their ventures and build family and generational wealth.

climate artwork

Climate Resiliency

Communities across are experiencing wildfires, hurricanes and floods at unprecedented levels. Natural disasters can often lead economic disasters. To preserve community and family wealth, we help organizations build and renovate resilient homes and facilities, fostering healthier, more sustainable environment where families and communities can thrive.

And that's exactly where RDF stepped in. They didn't just provide us with a loan; they became true collaborators in our mission to provide healthcare with dignity.

—Dan Fulwiler, President & CEO, Esperanza Health Centers, Chicago, IL
