Ariel Behr

Director of East Coast Region

Ariel Behr is the Director of RDF’s East Coast Region.  Since joining RDF in 2015, she has been involved with all aspects of operations, including originating, underwriting and closing loans and managing relationships with multiple partners.  Ariel primarily works on financings for affordable housing and charter school facilities.  A native New Yorker, Ariel received a BA from Swarthmore College and an MBA from Columbia Business School, with a focus on Social Enterprise.  Prior to joining RDF, Ariel worked at Local Initiatives Support Corporation for over 6 years, with a similar focus on affordable housing and charter school facilities.  At LISC, Ariel led the development of LISC NYC’s Green Initiative—an effort that retrofitted 10,000 units of LIHTC housing throughout NYC with energy efficiencies.  Prior to joining LISC in December 2005, Ariel was the Director of the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation’s Computer Resource Centers Program—an initiative to bridge the digital divide by providing free computer classrooms inside recreation centers throughout NYC.

She lives in Manhattan with her husband and two young daughters.
