At the Raza Development Fund, our Familia is thrilled to celebrate …
December 2020
Dear Community Member,
For over 20 years, Raza Development Fund has stayed true to its founding principles of service to communities of need, the dignity of the human person, and solid business management—all while maintaining our mission to invest capital and create financial solutions to increase opportunities for Latino and poor families across the country. The impact of our work is evident today as our organization is the largest Latino-focused, national Community Development Financial Institution. RDF has impacted 1.5M Families, 90K Students, 25K Housing Units, 250K patients through Healthcare financing, with 1,700 jobs created and 1,300 jobs retained in 33 New Market Tax Credit projects, investing $1 billion over the last twenty years. Now with nearly half a billion dollars in assets under management and a Standard & Poor’s investment-grade rating of AA-, we look to the future to serve more communities.
As a national non-profit, our mission is to responsibly invest capital into the community. RDF recognizes that in order to best serve these communities of need, we must be where our community needs our capital. We are proud to announce that we will be moving our corporate headquarters to South Phoenix, where the spiritual inspiration for a Hope Fund, now RDF, was given life. As of December 1, 2020, please note that our new address will be as follows:
Raza Development Fund, Inc.
410 E. Southern Ave.
Phoenix, AZ 85040
Since its inception, RDF has learned that the biggest community impact happens when the resident needs are actuated in projects that serve people at all levels of income. Investing in community development in the areas of education, affordable housing, healthcare, and small business has a direct impact on families, and their members go on to build healthier, stronger environments where opportunities will abound for coming generations. We know that the future must be built today. By coming home to South Phoenix—an area with so much history in the roots of our organization and its leaders—we plan to serve from the heart of our community.
As our organization continues to monitor updates from the CDC, World Health Organization, and state and local health authorities, our operations will continue to be carried out with our staff working remotely. We look forward to opening the doors of our new home to the community Summer of 2021 as we assess the health and safety protocols at that time.
As always, we are a phone call or email away, so please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We also invite you to visit us on our website at www.razafund.org for additional messages and updates.
Respectfully,
Tom Espinoza
