Paulina Ugalde Olson

Investment Associate

Paulina Ugalde Olson joined the RDF familia in August of 2021, and serves as an Investment Associate based out of the Chattanooga, Tennessee area. In her role, she engages in a comprehensive analysis of the organizations approaching RDF for funding, delving deeply into their operational intricacies. Her scrutiny encompasses understanding their business models, operational methods, financial sustainability, and community impact. Additionally, she actively participates in all facets of operations, from originating and underwriting loans to facilitating closures. Her role extends beyond financial analysis; she adeptly manages relationships with a myriad of partners, ensuring seamless collaboration and fostering enduring connections. Through her multifaceted involvement, she not only assesses the potential impact of RDF’s support but also actively contributes to the organization’s mission, ensuring meaningful and sustainable community engagement. 

Homegrown in Queretaro, Mexico, she emigrated to Indiana in 2016 where she earned a B.A. in Economics from Indiana University Northwest and subsequently a Masters degree in Public Policy from the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago.  Paulina has experience in data analysis and policy research; Her passion and mission in life is to increase the opportunities available to low-income and struggling families to achieve economic mobility.
