Star Reyes-Gonzalez

Senior Manager of Collaborative Community Solutions 

Born and raised in South Phoenix, Star currently serves as Senior Manager of Collaborative Community Solutions and provides technical assistance to small businesses helping them to access much needed government resources such as the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) via the Small Business Administration (SBA), local non-profit and government grants,  as well as additional capital in the form of small business loans. Previously, she worked with UnidosUS, formerly National Council of La Raza (NCLR), the nation’s largest Latino civil rights and advocacy organization where she established numerous relationships with various non-profit agencies and state and local vendors. She participated in various community campaigns and outreach programs such as: Proposition 105, Proposition 200, White Ribbon Campaign and the roll out of “Mad About Money” a pilot program for financial literacy for young children in Arizona and Las Vegas. She assisted in marketing and expansion efforts for the NCLR Homeownership Network (NHN) which provided housing counseling services and trainings to many nonprofits organizations nationwide. Formerly, RDF’s Director of Communications, Mrs. Reyes was responsible for implementing the organization’s marketing communications and public relations. Efforts were geared toward company website, social media, company events and internal and external communications between RDF’s President & CEO and RDF Board of Directors.

Accomplishments:

  • Serves on Board of Directors for The Sagrado, Asian Chamber of Commerce, Victoria Foundation
  • Serves as a Committee Member for South Central Collaborative, SoPho Convening, Valley Metro – Stakeholder Art Review Committee (SARC)
